The Scent of a Madman or The Messiah [a romantic comic tragedy in never-ending parts]
I’ve just been brushing up my Shakespeare, having been inspired by JC’s post.
(With apologies to both GF Handel and Shakin’ Will).
Here’s a brief extract from a little-known scatological work, The Scent of a Madman.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that the Jester's words: "The Trump it shall sound" are a reference to
the words of the Bible in 1. Corinthians 15:52.
G.F. Handel also alludes to those words in his Messiah here:
Jester:
“Ah woe unto thee, for The Trump it shall sound,
and verily ye horse shit will truly abound.”
Earl of Fester:
“O Trumpeo, Trumpeo, wherefore art thou Trumpeo?
What’s in a name? That which we call a fart
By any other name would stink as foul”.
NB. He's actually not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy! You can see the evidence for yourself, here:

The description “from the sublime to the ridiculous” comes to mind here. I do hope I’ve not offended against the sensibilities of those who take themselves too seriously here. I remember all the faux furore emanating from so-called “intellectuals” and various dictators of public morality when “The Life of Brian” appeared - absolutely hilarious: they don’t like it up ‘em, you know!
