I used to play lawn tennis
But I never made the grade
Then I tried badminton 
But I was always in the shade
At the ping pong table
I was a champ at twelve
So I got myself motivated 
I'm not sitting on the shelf

Off I went to the leisure centre
With my paddle in my hand
I felt out of my depth 
I just didn't understand
Now I have a new family
And they look out for me
With lots of love and encouragement 
They have set me free

All I need is a paddle
And a court to play pickleball

I spend my days dinking
My game is getting strong

I plan to travel the country
And complete in competition
