The Los Angeles fires was a total devastation for thousands of people.
When seeing this horror show on the news,I put down the strong emotion of sadness I felt into words.
Thank you so much for your comment Rolph.

Dear Nigel,
I just read your poem "Charcoal City" and was deeply moved (inside smothering grief") by its powerful imagery (roadrunner "ablaze"). The way you capture the relentless nature of wildfires (in L.A.?) and the emotional aftermath is striking. It's a poignant reflection on the impact of these disasters. Thank you for sharing this evocative piece.
Best regards,
Rolph
