entry picture

A new open mic poetry night to celebrate queer poets in the north-east is being launched in Darlington later this month. Hook, Line & Thinkers at the Queerish Bookshop will have two featured poets (to be announced) and eight open mic slots (five minutes per person). The event at 39A Bondgate, Darlington, is on Saturday 15 June. Doors open 6.45pm, with the event starting at 7pm and ending at 8.30pm. Those keen on claiming an open mic spot should email Anna at ae.holland@hotmail.co.uk. It’s pay as you feel, but please note you still need to buy a ticket, even if you are claiming an open mic spot.
