Do you mind if I don't watch you die?

I can hear you looking at me

I can see your about to leave

But do you mind if I just sit with a cup of coffee balanced on my knee

I can’t bare to see

As you leave me

I can watch the heavens fall from the sky

And I can watch the flowers die

I don’t mind seeing the last dove fly

But do you mind, do you mind do you mind…

If I don’t watch you die

I will hold your hand, one last time

And of course I’ll be here, I’ll stick around

You won’t be alone as heavens bells chime

But I’m afraid I can’t cross the line

I can’t watch you die

In a white room with a strange smell

She was painfully aware she wasn’t well

I couldn’t stay, I didn’t want to leave,

I wanted to go, I wanted to grieve

Its exstremely hard to watch love ones die

Its even harder when they see you cry

Do you think they mind, if we don’t watch them die?

Richard

Your poem touched my heart. There is so much to think about reading your words in this poem. Never had to watch anyone die but I must tell you that I am very scared to see someone dying.
Your poetic mind created such reality in the write that I am feeling if I was there with you by the bed of the person dying. You have poured so much of feelings to this poem.

EXCELLENT JOB!

Zuzanna
