Letting go

They say let go

What's hurting

The pain and sorrows

In reality

I've to let go

The painful memories

Of words and people

Who led me to that hurt

So it isn't the pain

I need to let go

It's the people

And the hurtful memories

They left behind

That needs to be let gone

Letting go doesn't mean erasing

The scars they left on my heart

But releasing their hold

Their toxic grip on my soul

It's a journey of self discovery

Of shedding layers of hurt

And reclaiming my power

From those who tried to break me

So I'll release the people and their inflicted pain

And free myself from their chains

For it's not the wounds that define me

But the strength in letting go and moving on.

Easy for those
without pain
saying let go
heartache held
will always stay
only letting
outside feelings go
inside tears
can not sleep.💔
