Various unexpected occasions arise

where I get presented with yet, more and more gifts,

more it has been known

than those of every birthday and Christmas of mine, put together

and, with more regularity, than the appearance of Stars

 

there is no declining, oh no!

 

although being the fortunate owner of those I adore,

I still feel that I have to at least

be the custodian of those I despise

 

but, they refuse! ( for example )

I placed the grotesque ornament

behind the beautiful art deco silver lady with parasol

and the next thing I know, it has moved to the front!

 

which begs the question, do inanimate objects have a life of their own!?
