The Hare and the Tortoise
The hare and the tortoise went for a walk
on a lovely summer’s afternoon
They took some food and tea for a brew
as well as a knife, fork, and spoon
It wasn’t that long before the tortoise realised
that his friend the hare had marched on
Being so slow the day came and went…
The hare, the food, and the tea had gone!

I like what you've done here with the tale. For me you've given another lesson. Be careful who you call your friend. We are too often the tortoise in relationships. To slow to perceive things weren't what we thought.
