entry picture

Slang Bang, a free entry night of slang-infused spoken word curated by Write Out Loud regular Lee Campbell, will feature Steve Tasane, Jeremy Dixon, Julie Granger, Pip McDonald, Richard Allen, and Frankie Calvert at Glitch, 134 Lower Marsh, Waterloo, London, on 11 October from 6-8pm.

Jeremy and Lee will share poems that demonstrate their love of covert gay male slang language of Polari and other LGBT sub-cultural slangs, Steve and Julie will explore Cockney rhyming slang and Pip will entertain the audience with her techno poetry. As part of his performance, Richard will include a  poem about slang wordplays used amongst the London Met police force whilst Frankie has said her slang poetry will be ‘an elephant in the room’.
