The Lord of the Rings. Part 1:- The Fellowship of the Ring

The Lord of the Rings is a wonderful story.
It is a tale of hope, courage and glory.
Into three parts is this story divided,
And which side will win is first undecided.

The first part is The Fellowship of the Ring,
And each of those nine members have something to bring.
Their goal for which they have all been employed,
Is that this great ring of power has to be destroyed.

Frodo Baggins, a hobbit, bears that ring of power -
And is faced with a task from which he must not cower.
Throughout Middle Earth evil Sauron does spy,
Though he now exists in the form of the great eye.

Always with Frodo is Samwise Gamgee -
Brave and loyal throughout, as you shall see.
And there's Merry and Pippin - two more hobbit friends,
Both upon which the fellowship does depend.

Joining them is a man - named Aragorn.
And he helps in this challenge - for which he was born.
And another man Boromir must be introduced,
Although in time by the ring becomes seduced.

And there is Legolas - of the elf kind,
Excellent with bow and arrow - as you shall find.
And Gimli the dwarf - he goes with them too.
He is stubborn and proud but there's much he can do.

And wizard Gandalf the Grey helps in this mission,
With magic and strength is a vital addition.
But there's one other wizard - Saruman the White,
Who upon Sauron's side he chooses to fight.

What they all have in common is determination,
To save Middle Earth from Sauron's domination.
They shall never give up and never give in,
They are all members of The Fellowship of the Ring.

A famous sequence of stories from a vivid imagination.
My personal caveat regarding that great journey that saw
the ring disposed of: Why it wasn't entrusted to those
great birds that came to the rescue at times. Surely, they could have done the job without all that risk and hardship?
Sorry, just call me a kill-joy! 😉
