What harms the bee, harms the hive

entry picture

Judgement day comes for an apian hive
On the threshold, will it die or survive?
The Bee's priority is the unhoneyed comb
Unaware of the finality of her home,

What harms one bee, ruptures the greater whole,
Their shared destiny, the colony's goal.
The bee is the hive's cooling, beating heart.
Each tiny winged creature, a precious part,

What threatens the hive may destroy the bees
Conflict, hunger, pestilence, and disease
The sprayed chemical Thiamethoxam
Climate change caused by the 'Dimwitted Man'

The last judgement day for our planet Earth
Humankind dying, no chance of rebirth
Begins with the frailty of me and you
Turning blind eyes to an unsightly view,

What shall befall this planet, our shared home,
Pervades every sinew and every bone,
Comfort Mother Nature, take her soft hand
We owe her greatly. We're born of this land.

The consequence of averting our gaze,
Signals the end of this our planet's days.
What harms the hive will also harm the bee
What harms the world also harms you and me

Protecting our world keeps us all alive
Safeguarding the bee and the honeybee's hive.
Save the planet's biodiversity
It's good for you, me and the honeybee.

Thank you JD.

Extremely important.
I remember the debate in parliament about pesticides from several years ago.
it seems politicians with a conscience are still fighting hard on behalf of the bees-and ultimately for human survival.💓
