WOE IS ME!

There's too much dawdlin'

With poetical stuff that's maudlin!

Lift literary fists and fight

In pursuit of what's right!

Surely much better

To be a go-getter

Than endlessly bemoan

Being "lost" and "alone"..

Render them less visible

Or risk being risible;

Even worse - self-pitying,

Inviting deft ditty-ing.

It's too tempting to parody

Misery and malady.
