Peek-a-Boo with The Moon

By Bree Evans

It’s that all-encompassing time, where the day is closing

The moon so gracefully readying itself for its nightly show

And us; its loyal audience, its fellow admirers

Dissolving into our comfort from the snow

While it glows

While we grow

That little bit older every viewing

Tonight is all about the thinking

The hoping and the dreaming

Aspiring to do better, be better, tomorrow

Find time to slow down

For tonight too, is about the calm

The stillness and the silence

A time to reflect, to observe and be at peace

Let it be about watching

Feeling, becoming, being,

By beauty that makes us swoon

Playing peek-a-boo with the moon
