Luminescent

The silence was so deep

I thought you had flown away,

but then I heard you

rustling in the leaves.

You never showed your face,

I only heard a flutter of wings

and glimpsed the golden color

on the edges of your shadow.

Oh beautiful, beautiful being,

return to us we ask--

grace us with your light

and abide with us

in our wanderings.

We feel your love

in this long, wild mystery,

we yearn to see your face,

but we know we must be content with the glimpse,

the hushed promise

of your luminescent presence.

A profoundly spiritual poem written with an inner knowledge.
Thank you for this,
