Introspection Trilogy

Lessons

"I hate my life"

"I love my life"

Why the labels?

Erase the blackboard,

"Just life living itself"

Jump into that!

Why Not?

Lined face like rivers,

etching paths,

how ancient is my journey?

Here today,

one day gone,

born again?

new horizons?

Meanwhile, here & now,

smile, laugh,

cry a little,

it's short term

remember,

jump into joy,

why not?

Transformation

Who I am

who I want to be

moving with simplicity

quiet mind

laughing heart

kind hands

gentle thoughts.

The woman in the painting from the past--

always walking.

My mother in the memory of younger years--

always loving.

Solace, peace--

transformed.

"it's short term remember", are the words that stand out for me in this poem. The need to realise that we are only passing through as all is transient. This should spur us on to be positive and make good use of the time we have.
A philosophical poem about life's journey with a good sense of optimism in it.
Thank you for this
