LIFE

entry picture

Life is passing by

Without even living

Life is passing by

The only thing we do

Is literally breathing

Life is a winding road

Why do we need to be barefoot

All by the way that is so long

One day life is too simple

For our sophisticated heart

The other day it is too complex

And tooย hard

To even breathe

Life is passing by

Like a white lie

Killing our innocence

Life is passing by

No need to say good bye

To our hearts that are about to die

Life is too simple

Like a burden to us

Life is too complicated

Like a story overrrated

Life is calling now

The blink of death

Shall we accept the invitation...

An amazing poem drawing out life's innate contradictions. Great!

'Life is passing by
Like a white lie
Killing our innocence'

Is a stunning phrase. Thank you for a good poem.

Hi Begum. I think you and I are in a fairly similar frame of mind today according to our poems, of which, this is a very good one indeed. Thank you!
