There’s a cost of living crisis
affecting each and everyone 
So the politicians had a chat
to see what could be done

They called a mini budget 
and the nation hoped and prayed 
The results were disappointing
the country was left dismayed 

They chose to borrow more
to increase the national debt 
Eyewatering amounts  
a dangerous and reckless bet

Lower taxes for high earners
as those most in need suffer
Reduce stamp duty charges
as banks pull mortgage offers 

Reverse higher NI payments
as the NHS fails us all
Deflate the value of the pound 
as it goes into free fall 

These are the direct results
of the mini budget plan
