When, if, 
time capsules may be unearthed
is uncertain.
You put something in, everyone does,
but 
don't expect to choose what.

You unwittingly 'help' future iterations
know their past.
You know: that crowd of ghosts, clowns,
grinning inanely
peering over the shoulder to see
what happens next.

They have know from experience what happens
generally.
It's not that life is a catalogue of mistakes
and disasters
but there they are; and it's not your choice
what makes the time capsule.

You may feel low in this state and try
to take control.
Don't stress, all your 'help' in this slow process
will be unwitting, thank God, 
or  some asshole would make time capsules 
toxic waste.
