Roaming in the gloaming

In The Gloaming Painting by Maurice Sapiro | Saatchi Art

A riff, an ear worm, a constant refrain
A minor chord mixing
A crying shame

Warm summer sunshine,
Imagined and known,
Cold won't leave me alone

Angry mackerel skies
Still cannot disguise
The hurt in her golden, pharaoh eyes.

A way forward,
Is rarely explained,
It's often avoided,
A life profaned.

Shadows fly across the moon,
And all too soon,
She's left alone in the haunted room.

A zooming and a roaming
Across time and space
Just leaves tears upon her beautiful human face.

Thwarted by the black holes,
And caught on the hop,
Her magnificent singularites face a final full stop.
