Except for the Gold

This door.. it shines 

It is fancy and new 

Solid appearance 

Modern endurance 

Not bought in clearance 

A very proud door one might add 

Such beauty perfection 

Gold lock protection 

Pale Pink with cracks lacking symmetry 

Not very protective but oozing with mystery 

Not dull though a character this door has got history 

Lesser appealing sky blue and mint green 

Letterbox broken 

Chipped paint and unclean 

Twin doors  they feel like 

These two are real tight 

Both faded by sunlight 

Those cracks for the moonlight 

Now time to choose right 

You thought  I'd choose gold right 

I turned the golden key 

I opened the golden heavenly door

Behind it such wonder I want to explore 

Only to find an absolute abundance of absolutely nothing 

Oh golden door relentless bore 

You fooled me 

Constructive oh pretty fool just for show 

What magic is behind the vintage trio ? 

Well I guess i'll never know
