If I don’t get to listen to a daily podcast

I’m operating on my very last

Nerve as far as patience goes.

 

God only knows

Where the information flows

To once it’s gone *into* my head--

Led

There by the master scientists.

 

And yes, I CAN usually get the gist

Of what they have to say

On my podcast days.

 

Usually there will be one

Factoid that captures my attention once I’m done.

The BIG FACTOID

Grows in intensity in my brain

To the point where I’m almost insane

Trying to conceptualise

All the threads and ties

Binding the variables together.

As to whether

I’ve mastered the facts or not?

I don’t actually care a jot--

I’ve had fun—

And on this occasion—if one

Turned the earth into a black hole

Which isn’t possible so that's not the whole

Story (but imagine for a while)

That the Schwarzschild

Radius would be-- 

Just one centimetre.
