I See You.

I see you ...

I wish you could see yourself

The way I see you

I see the shadow of doubt

That crosses your face

The slowness of your pace

I see the look of sadness

When you think no-one

Is watching

I feel the weight on your shoulders

The despair in the air

That you breathe

I hear the sighs

That you heave

Your broken heart

Is hard to hide

From me

I’ve been with you

From the start

I’ve always been

On your side

But, I tell you what else

I see ...

I see you

The woman whom you have become

The amazing mum

The courageous one

Your heart full of love

A back bone

Made of strong stuff

Kindness and humour

The girl who won’t listen

To rumour

You are the stars

And the moon

The skies

And the oceans

Prepared for love

And devotion

Your beauty runs deep

Such a soul

Should not weep

I promise you this

One day you’ll find bliss

With a man who deserves

To savour your kiss

He will see you

And love you

Without reserve

A wonderful woman

With a heart made

Of gold

Deserves a good man

With whom

She can grow old

Until then, my love

I will be there

For you

Because, I see you

And I know

You will pull through

And, I want to be there

To laugh and rejoice

When you do.
