Sometimes nature puts on a spectacular show
it takes your breath away
I stop and take in this morning scene 
the most picturesque start to the day  

Fiery skies, whose beauty is doubled 
as the lake reflects it’s golden glow 
A swan elegantly glides by
across the rippling waters below

The wild birds are awakening
providing us with the best wake up call 
Eyes and ears now fully satisfied 
by this most glorious view of all
