Can't believe I missed this lovely little piece Ray! (possibly too busy with the kids all here doing the same Mother's Day thing).
My wife is a brilliant mother (to me too).

Thanks for your comment Mark. There is indeed a bond which should hopefully be for life and cannot be replaced. Commonly mothers will offer support and love to even those of their children who are beyond the pale in the eyes of society.

invest their sex with all they feel they knew, loved and admired themselves in life. Lucky men who understand just how fortunate they were as the years pass.. The bond between mother and
child - but especially mother and son - is well documented..

Thanks Graham, i'm pleased you enjoyed this tribute. My mum only having sons did not have much luck with cards sent in former times, but as our wives appealed to us to make good the deficit. We were to have spent Mother's day at one of ours, but had to cancel due to covid!
Yes Mark, what about that. He is scarred but unbeaten I suppose. I believe the royals have in the course of their employment procedures made fairly staggeringly cruel decisions about devoted staff, but can we expect more considering the history of the overruling tribe in its historical context? I wonder how those fees were actually met?
