And God Spake Unto the Snake

entry picture

Whisper silently my own, my snake,

Move cautiously for your father's sake,

When you judge the time as right

Then draw your fangs, and sink your bite.

But never bite the Forbidden Fruit,

The taste of that apple for you won't suit,

But beguile and tempt if you can,

The fruit of eternal pain upon Man.
