transformed, trivialised,
corrupted and abandoned 
as a powerless fantasy picture
wherever cyberspace can store it.
"If it's not honest, it's not real."
the old tramp dryly croaks.
It's true. The only engine capable
of carrying a sensible traveller
one inch closer to the goal
must be fuelled by honesty.
For a can of special brew
the old tramp further confides
"Without generosity 
to all the unfavoured souls 
whose honesty fails, mired in self,
the great engine most likely bursts into flame
and, honest or not, goes nowhere."
