I've embarked on a journey new

Leaving the baggage of past

Where it Did belong

Only carrying with me memories

That keeps me safe, warm and loved 

Things that were unnecessary are left behind

 

My baggage that I carry with me now

Is light and filled with things I'll need 

A journey new with people who are new

Unknown places, strangers to meet

A whole new story to write from beginning 

Motivated, well inspired and directed to my goals

A vision I had, now following the second fleet of steps 

 

The roses now I take along, sans thorns

Lessons learned are now keeping me head strong

I know the path, the songs, the people now

Sans fear, hatred and anything from history

That did hurt or upset me, is only setting me free

Helping me, guiding me, directing me

To my new beginning of my brand new life

 

I've no companion other than my God almighty

And He alone stands enough for me

All my love, trust, hope, friendship, are for Him

And He's always here in my heart, supporting me

He's all I need in my journey ahead

With God by my side I'll fulfill all my dreams and ambitions

 

My lovely dreams, I'm coming to have you

Dreams That I have seen as a child and youth

With the divine will, power and strength inbuilt

Now I'm completely ready for my new beginning 

So here I embark on my dream journey by God's will
