Book of poetry writing tips to be launched online from Manchester Poetry Library

Why I Write Poetry: Essays on Becoming a Poet, Keeping Going and Advice for the Writing Life, edited by Ian Humphreys, pictured, is being launched online from Manchester Poetry Library on 27 January at 7.30pm. In this book, published by Nine Arches Press, 25 contemporary poets reflect on the writing life, and on what inspires and spurs them on to write poetry. At the event will be editor Ian Humphreys and contributors Jane Commane, Daniel Sluman, Rachel Mann, and Manchester Writing School’s Jean Sprackland. More details
