Why I Write Poetry: Essays on Becoming a Poet, Keeping Going and Advice for the Writing Life, edited by Ian Humphreys, pictured, is being launched online from Manchester Poetry Library on 27 January at 7.30pm. In this book, published by Nine Arches Press, 25 contemporary poets reflect on the writing life, and on what inspires and spurs them on to write poetry.
