Thick fog has descended 
across the land below
Laying a veil of grey 
opaque, heavy and low

My imagination  
runs riot in my mind 
A perfect hideaway
creatures lurking behind

The once familiar views
seem alien to me
Previously clear paths 
full of uncertainty

But soon the fog will lift 
all will be clear and bright
The gloom will blow away
as we welcome the light
