Lonely island

Lost on an empty island

She cried hopelessly

Took hold of every straw

Thinking it would save her

Untill she realized even the logs won't

She woke up distressed and broken

Not knowing what's going to happen

Future looked bleak and black

But she was hopeful, yes she was

There were many who visited the island

Some even enjoyed her company a little

Living alone made her coy and introvert

But going back to people's land was always her dream

There could be monsters or demons in human clothing

Not knowing the facts she kept these visitors trusting

They told her to stay where she's living

It's beautiful here and much peaceful

Loneliness was killing her but she tried escaping

Alas! There wasn't much on the other side for her

So she succumbed to her God gifted fate

Lonely planet was her new home

Few visitors always

They admired her and the place

Suggested her how she could renovate

But none was of the opinion to take her away

Finally she accepted her divine fate

Made strategies to live by her ownself

Others opinion was not valued anymore

Cos every log and straw was used by her

To create her impenetrable luxurious fort

She saw the visitors from the tower window

Visitors came to the island

And were shocked to see the fort

Some admired but many disliked

Opinions showered upon her

But it wasn't what she anyway liked nor disliked

Years of loneliness gave her, self companionship

She was now her only best friend

Enjoying the nature she so loved well

The sun, moon, stars and the air

Birds became her best friends

She could converse with everything

Not lonely or alone anymore

She decorated her fort into a beautiful home

No more of the other side of the world

She requires to see or go to

Happy on her quiet lonely Island

She has many endeavours and chores

Plenty of time to spend on herself

Developing her ownself and her lonely planet

She finally made it to herself and her own home

This is where she belonged and she should be

And now there're no more plans to find another place

She welcomes visitors and entertains their views

But little they know, their baseless sympathies are stored

In a book of words she keeps their words as chapters

Trying to find meaning in words that has no efforts

Words are easy so people give them easily

Help and constructive support requires time, effort and money

It's precious, so the visitors never give her

She saves their words, hoping someday she can give back

These words of sympathy to the Lonely visitors 😂😂😂

That let to the construction of fort
Now it's a wall of wisdom for all

Thank you Nigel🌷

A poem that stands alone
each visitor has advice to give
then leaves still travelling
looking for what you have found.
