Autumn Woodland

A stroll through an Autumn woodland
leaves like confetti, fluttering down 
Laying a deep, crispy carpet 
hues of red, orange, yellow and brown

A familiar crunch underfoot
as I tread on the hidden pathway
The soundtrack to my morning walk
the brook gently babbling away
