19. Poem

I remember,  I remember

The days gone by

All that's my past

The preschool I went to

And the swings in there

A garden full of flowers

The first day at boarding

And also my last

The memories to stay

I remember, I remember

Every hour of every day

Whether happy or not

The birthdays I celebrate

And those I never did

Reasons were many I remember all so good

I remember the Afternoon

I was to you introduced

That changed my history, well understood

All those hours we spent together and apart

Nothing hurts me more than those

It's all crystal clear in my heart

I remember,  I remember

Winter days and summer months

Monsoonal Winds and raining

How could I forget you

Neither today nor tomorrow

Although now I don't speak about it anymore

Those hide and seek

Voice that soothes

And muscles that peek

I remember, I remember

Frosty winter eves

Dim lights and music to sleep

This poem has a certain lyrical quality about which I like helped by the repeating phrase 'I remember'

Nice one
