Mr. Bad.

You pushed me away,
And now I am going to live my own life
Right under your nose.
And I hope that you notice every smile
That someone else makes me laugh.
I am going to be free of your demons.
I am going to laugh every time I see you,
And be so pleased that I
Saw the worst bits before we were married,
Like once you said we would be.
Remember that?
Oh my poor poor Mr Misunderstood.

You acted as if every word were a drain on your strength.
Nothing I tried was good enough.
But now it is a different world.
Now I am telling you that you are no good.
Now you can taste my cruelty,
My poor poor Mr Misunderstood.

You guessed wrong if you thought
I would always dance to your tune.
Now I'll like something else.
And listen when I tell you, you are no good
My once upon a time love.
My poor poor poor Mr Misunderstood.

I love the revenge poem style, Aviva. Pure class!

Thanks for commenting Nigel

But, as I have never stayed successful in love, and quite often never even begun successfully, let alone stayed that way.. well, because of all that I get to the point where I have to assume a few conclusions (that I'd rather not type, at least, not in prose).

Thanks also to everyone who clicked 'Like' for this poem

You have left him with nothing
but the regret of letting your love go.
