Tiny dog on a massive bed?

How did that come to be?

Benji could use the new bed

I had just bought for Charlie.

But it is so much bigger

He doesn’t think it’s his.

Even all our doggy toys

Are as big as he is.

He’s not what we are used to,

He’s really very small.

But also quite a character

And no trouble at all.

 

Good with kids and good with dogs,

They said at the rescue place.

So when it comes to aggression

There simply is no trace.

Previously, he was Angelo,

Sounds kind of nice BUT

I couldn’t imagine calling that out

And it’s too posh for a mutt!

 

He’s an Australian terrier,

We checked on the net,

Rather like a Norwich

(But cuter, I bet!!)

We’d already decided on a name

Before his breed was shown

Otherwise he might have been

Rolf or Bruce if we’d known!

 

It looks like Benji’s staying,

He follows where I tread.

Maybe I will buy him

A much smaller bed……
