A host of events are lined up on Friday, 14 May, to celebrate International Dylan Thomas Day. It’s the anniversary of the date when Under Milk Wood was first read on stage at 92Y The Poetry Centre in New York in 1953. Community activities include a Love the Words Poetry Share – a global haiku share this year, and a Dylan Thomas Photo Share, for people to join in, all over the world. Online events include Dear Dylan at the Birthplace, taking in the launch of a new anthology, Dear Dylan, an Indigo Dreams collection of letters to and poems after Dylan Thomas, edited by Anna Saunders and Ronnie Goodyer. There are also events lined up in India, Australia, New Zealand, the US, Italy, and Mauritius.
