Dear I propose

How long I waited?

how many years I dated?

all things remain unrelated

I still not term it "ill-fated'

 

She was my first choice

even she had promised to be the one

she was close to my heart

but never reacted to love

 

I waited and waited

and even remained excited

to hear

her whisper

 

I am going desperate

for having not set

the course in the direction

for building bond and relation

 

she could read in my eyes

and tried

to convince

as I had evinced great interest

 

"Dear" one serious proposal

it is my idea as an individual

will you accept me as I am?

will you include me in your life team?

 

I felt shocked as if heaven had fallen

it was never expected even

I had long waited for such words

and here it came as blessings from the Lord
