I was going to write today

and make something beautiful

a package of wonderful words

to be completed and sent on

wrapped in a red ribbon

with a bow on top

but then the poem

slipped through my fingers

and fell apart and

all the words

scattered on the page

so now

it is up to you

to put them back in order

and arrange them properly

a poem

is only as good as its construction

this one

requires assembly.
