Thanks Brian, I have a few more nice ones I would like to share, be watching.
Excellent senryu. Captures a mood powerfully. Would be great on a valentine to a lover.

The concept of haiku and senryu is similar to Japanese watercolor painting. They can capture a bird or a branch in one dash of paint. They don't rework it. It is like a mini-photograph, but depicts so much by what it doesn't say. Often with Japanese haiku, there is a paradigm shift in it too. I enjoy it, though don't do it well. Yours is very good. Keep it up.
Example of a master:
Kobayashi Issa (1763-1828)

not even enough to hide
all the dogcrap"
