Dead Silence

entry picture

Down by this long winding road

Into the abyss, we follow

Day and night seem to merge

They follow no pattern.

The howling moon above appears

Guiding the lost souls,

To a path unknown

Whispering secrets we know.

The shrieking lights yearn for comfort,

As we leave footprints on barren lands.

Bleeding desires cannot censor the nakedness

Of our melting bodies.

Quick pacing movements reflect

The torments of our hearts

As it beats with an impossible pace

Drawing an insecure line over it.

The black woods struggle to oppose

The calming waves of dreams

That seems to have taken over

Falling into dead silence.

I am seldom at a loss for words, except to say this poem has a quality which is quite exceptional.
