Today is the day

The grey of the day

Gives way to the burning orange of the inevitable night

And beneath it falls the deep blue black

That envelops and smooths its way out

Across the day glow lights

Of a thousand streets

And a million stars

Of rain-soaked roads and patchwork fields

Until grey becomes white

And the tired weary girded loins

Can dust down their fears and fright

Saying this is today

A day like no other

Let tomorrow take care of itself

Thank you Stephen and Aviva for the like

Thank you for your comments Keith. We seem to live in such uncertain times for many people highlighted by the time of year but I did want to reflect something positive from it all.
All the best Keith and thank you once again my friend

Martin,

A poem for the time of year and so well described. I have this minute walked the dogs and now the snow is falling heavily. A day like no other and I also am happy to let tomorrow take care of itself.

Thank you for this
Keith
