I hate the way we have to live today

in fact sometimes it simply makes me fume;

I wish this Covid crap would go away.

 

When even children can’t go out to play

and must resort to games in their own room;

When distancing requires that we must stay

at home, and only get to meet by Zoom.

When there are rules that we must all obey

to keep us safe until our lives resume,

I hate the way we have to live today.

 

When on-line shopping is the only way

to keep us stocked with all that we consume,

I wish this Covid crap would go away.

 

When vaccines are approved, but then they say

that we must wait our turn to dodge our doom.
