The Life I Took For Granted

I may have taken things for granted

Before coronavirus came my way

Life before is like a distant memory

I hope we will all be covid free one day

Sometimes I take time and wonder

Why did Covid-19 come to be

Maybe I will learn from these times

And become a better version of me

Maybe when this pandemic is over

I will appreciate more what I hold dear

Find contentment and gratitude

In living my life without covid fear

They say time is the greatest healer

That it helps to ease away the pain

Time may help me forget the hurt

Hopefully not the lessons I may gain

Julie, Both versions are fine, I prefer the first, I was not offended, And hope never to offend. It is just poetry. I also in two of my previous poems have have made similar comments, and, right or wrong, it will not be changed. it is just a poem. Please see (the thanksgiving poem). and (The Bug). Sorry if I offend, But if I were to change, Then I am not freely being me. Write out loud for Julie, Julie, And it will be you that we see.
