From someone unknown to me
Her brother had gone missing
She shared her desperate plea

She posted a lovely photograph
A young man with a smiling face
Details of him and his missing car
So his movements could be traced

I hoped and wished for good news
Today an update broke my wait
“Thank you so much for all your support,
devastating, we were too late”

I do not know this family
I can't imagine the heartache and pain
Another young life has been lost far too soon
In my thoughts they will remain
