The little wren

returns again

it has become

our feathered friend

 

Taps at the window

as it lends

an inquisitive look

that makes us grin

 

With sudden move

from fence it trills

little wren departs

yet joy's instilled

 

It will be missed

will wait until

its cheer returns

to our window sill.
