Leaves fall in Fall

appropriately

but leave debris

far as the eye can see

 

Leaves upon leaves

like waves in the sea

the more I rake

the more there be

 

Their mess exceeds

their dust excretes

let the wind transport

them across the street

 

Whisk them away

wished fantasy

else leaves become

the death of me.
