Pop Zoo

These days we have the Gorillaz, bringing music to the Pop Zoo,
A long time after The Beatles did, what only they could do.
Down the years we've seen so many bands, such as The Animals,
I expect you can name many others, that I simply cannot recall,
but I remember The Eagles, whose music flew out of the stores
and just recently The Artic Monkeys, deserved all of their encores.

Howling Wolf was never amongst, the favourite bands of mine
Whitesnake though could make a show, I'd want to visit any time,
Fond memories of the great T Rex, linger with many folk still
Counting Crows have put on many shows, that give their fans a thrill,
A Flock of Seagulls were once heard, to fly their music on the air,
keeping well clear of the Stray Cats, when they came out of their lair.

The Pop Zoo is bound to keep growing, new bands coming onto the stage,
who would like to place bets on, the next zoo name to be all the rage?
