Thank You.

Waiting for something half as small

As something standing half as tall

As wind blows to make it fall

How can we tell when we hear the call

We’re the last that stand at the freshers ball

So don’t call me jack, cause I’ll make that call.

Lets become humanities gorillas

Gorillas of humanity.

Going round kicking ass

With random acts of kindliness.

Take the bad and colour it good

These are not dreams of hollywood.

These are dreams of people loved

And people who know how to love

Right back at you unconditional.

People who are there even when it pains them

People like an old coat I know

And his beautiful lass

And lovely Luci

People who just know how to love

And care

And share

And be there

Even when I’ve hid

Dodged and dived

their love has found me

at the right time to profound me

And confound me with my friendless

Infidelities.

Everyone should have an old coat

And beautiful lass and Luci

To wear for love and warmth

In winter times,

And while your there

Learn their lesson of humanity

Even though they don’t know themselves.

Born terrorists for humanity

My friends.

Who recognise my flakey loyalty for fear.

But don’t paint me queer.

Just quietly and gently they’re here.

Thank you.

It is not easy to find people who truly love but when we do like you said, "we should learn their lesson of humanity".

Thank you for this didactic poem.
