i started to question the connection

& couldn’t breathe

 

images mix up in a daydream

that replay constantly 

 

sometimes a new image appears

did someone change the videotape?

 

these images and connections aren’t only in my head

but i fear this is only gravy,

a topping or an extra side 

or just a dessert you fancy

 

it must be deeper

than remembering

someone who’s slept in my bed
