St Mary’s Church

entry picture

In picturesque and peaceful grounds

At the heart of our historic town

Stands the majestic St Mary’s church

Embattled tower, her parapet crown

The church bells ring out on Sundays

But not for four months or more

Due to the recent virus pandemic

She was forced to close her doors

Small services are about to resume

Once more church bells will ring

A reassuring sight and sound

As the congregation gather to sing
