God only knows

what will happen next

we see the movement

but are not moved

God knows he made a mistake

his plan did not work out

Cain slew Abel and

it started the slide into evil

God knows he erred

but he could not turn back

the dust had already settled

what will become of us

as we spin out of control

will we endure
